In outsourcing an entire function is outsourced to QAI end to end for the team to run the show. QAI completely owns the outcome in terms of people process and technology. It is similar to the concept of IT/ SW Outsourcing where the organizations outsource their Non-core Functions to specialists in that domain. The concept can also be applied to Quality and Process deployment wherein all the quality and process related work like PMO (Project Management Office), testing, model/ framework implementation (like CMMI, ITIL, 6 Sigma etc) can be outsourced to the specialists in that area.
